HEMA WashFechten 2025 will be a 2 day historical fencing event focused on a number of tournaments alongside a separate sparring area to the side.

The disciplines will be longsword open, longsword womens, saber open and a mixed weapon team relay tournament.

We will be posting further information about them all in future. We are still accessing if further disciplines such as saber womens, or rapier&dagger open may be feasible this year as well. If you are interested in such or have any other questions please write to us at hemawashfechten@gmail.com

The overall format of the tournaments will be the same as last year, while some aspects will hopefully be a worthy improvement based on the constructive comments we’ve received on our first version of WashFechten and from what we’ve seen of various tournaments globally in the meantime.

The intent of this event is to have as many people enjoy as much great fencing as possible during a single day while also helping people get judging experience and giving various international fencers a chance to connect.
