MONOMACHIA KARLBRUDËR 2027

On January 17, 2027, Karlbrüder will celebrate its 11th anniversary with the first edition of Monomachia Karlbrudër, a Historical European Martial Arts tournament dedicated to Longsword.

The competition will be submitted to HEMA Ratings and conducted through successive rounds. After each stage, a percentage of the remaining competitors will be eliminated according to their accumulated results, with the official tie-breaking criteria applied whenever necessary.

At the end of the tournament, an overall ranking will be established based on each competitor’s performance. From these standings, several distinctions will be awarded, including:

Open Champion;
Best Beginner;
Best Female Competitor;
Additional performance-based categories.

All recognized categories will receive prizes.

Monomachia Karlbrudër 2027 will bring together fencers of different experience levels in a technical, demanding, and inclusive competition, celebrating individual achievement and eleven years of Karlbrüder’s dedication to historical fencing.
