Hanseschlag Hamburg 2026 – HEMA as we love it

On September 5–6, 2026, Hamburg once again becomes a hotspot for historical fencing. Hanseschlag brings the HEMA community together for a weekend full of workshops, exchange, and tournament action – athletic, welcoming, and international.

What you need to know

You can join the event without competing in a tournament and take part in all workshops.
If you register for a tournament, all workshops are automatically included.

Whether you’re fighting for medals or focusing on improving your fencing – you can shape your weekend the way it suits you best.

Tournament registration – fair, transparent, and binding

📌 Open Category (48 spots):

36 spots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis
12 spots are reserved for international fencers until June 30, 2026, unclaimed spots will then be filled via the waiting list

📌 Women+ Category (24 spots):
18 spots are assigned directly
6 spots are reserved for international fencers until June 30, 2026, after that, the waiting list will be used

👉 The earlier you register, the higher your chance of securing a spot!
