HEMA WashFechten 2027 will be a historical fencing event focused on a number of tournaments alongside a separate sparring area to the side.

The disciplines will be longsword AB open, longsword AB womens, and a longsword RoW open tournament.

There will be an added option for sparring on the second day starting in the morning.

We will be posting further information about them all in future on our website and facebook event.

The overall format of the tournaments will be the same as last year, while some aspects will hopefully be a worthy improvement based on the constructive comments we’ve received on our previous versions of WashFechten and from what we’ve seen of various tournaments globally in the meantime.

The intent of this event is to have as many people enjoy as much great fencing as possible during a single day while also helping people get judging experience and giving various international fencers a chance to connect.
