SIGI Forge began as an idea long ago, but it took time to become a reality. It was founded by Ondrej Šauša, Jakub Ruček, and Martin Fabian—a project driven by passion, as all three founders had been involved in HEMA for many years. The project officially took off in mid-2018 when SIGI was registered as a company.
From the very beginning, our goal was simple: to produce high-quality, aesthetically pleasing, and reliable gear. The initial R&D phase took nearly a year, involving extensive design, testing, failure, and repeated refinement.
But we never gave up—we pursued our dream. Full production began in April 2019, and since then, we have continuously expanded our product line to meet the needs and demands of fellow fencers.
SIGI operates near Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Our entire production is based here, and we take pride in labeling our products as Made in Slovakia/EU.
