DESCRIPTION:Battle Born is Nevada’s premier Historical European Martial Arts tournament\, located in Carson City\, Nevada. In 2026\, Battle Born will host fencers from across North America in steel longsword\, rapier\, broadsword and smallsword competitions. This year we will be hosting workshops from Richard Marsden\, Justinder Singh\, Andrew Bradford\, Sigmund Werndorf\, and John Patterson. \nOur focus is to try to kindle the connections between participants—we are a mid-sized event\, and plan to always remain a mid-sized event\, with competitors who come from all across the US & Canada to compete and participate in classes\, and our goal is to foster opportunities to collaborate\, train together\, and build relationships. \nOur tournaments use a unique ruleset that helps to bring out historical fencing while remaining simple enough to allow our judges to focus on judging. \nWe hand-pick our judges and we pay them professional wages. We take judging seriously.

SUMMARY:Circle City Steel Clash VI
DESCRIPTION:This will be our sixth tournament\, and we couldn’t be more excited! Our goal is to create the best competitive experience for our fencers and the local community\, keeping things smooth\, fun\, and as stress-free as possible.\nTo make sure everyone can join in\, we continue the foam sword format event for those who don’t yet have full protective gear\, so come give it a try on Saturday\, May 23\, at 2 pm (checking-in opens at 1 pm!)\nThe Steel Longsword event has a Novice division (Saturday\, May 23\, at 3 pm) and an Advanced division (Sunday\, May 24\, at 12 pm).\nSteel Rapier will be held on May 24\, Sunday morning\, 10 am.\nChecking in starts on Sunday at 9 am. \nBe sure to check out the rules and explanatory videos!\nThis tournament is also a great opportunity for our volunteer directors to gain experience judging real bouts while keeping the atmosphere friendly and open. We are also open to including directors and side judges from clubs with the participation of over 3 fencers. Please\, contact us for details.\nPlus\, as a good tradition\, we’ll be awarding “Best Performance” medals\, as chosen by our tournament directors\, along with 1st\, 2nd\, and two 3rd place medals for each event.\nWe can’t wait to see you there.
