DESCRIPTION:This will be a single day historical fencing event focused on a longsword tournament with a separate sparring area open to various weapons outside of the tournament itself. Our local scene features plenty of folks using rapier\, smallsword\, saber\, sidesword\, dussack and dagger.\nThe longsword tournament will be open to all genders and rating levels\, with 10 people groups\, everyone judging each other during the group phase\, followed by eliminations.\nFencer judging pairs will be formed once full registration is done and paired up based on combined experience.\nPrizes will be announced in the following months.\nIf you’ve ever been to Swordplay\, Intermezzo\, Megdan\, Steel&Chill\, Sofia CrossSwords\, TeutonFecht and similar events you may recognize a similar atmosphere and even some people\, try and catch all the intentional and unintentional similarities.\nThe intent of the event is to have as many people enjoy as much great fencing as possible during a single day while also helping people get judging experience and giving various international fencers a chance to connect.\nWe look forward to having you at our event.\nFeel free to check our website and facebook event for further information\nhttps://www.hema-washfechten.com/\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1576528809571825?active_tab=about

DESCRIPTION:Eine bunte Palette unterschiedlicher Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten zum Thema Schwert wird geboten: Von Präsentationen aus alten über 600 Jahre alten Fechtbüchern\, aber auch der Vorstellung einer modernen Sportart (HEMA)\, die das Schwert als Sportgerät nutzt\, hin zur Betrachtung eines Originalfund im Museum der Burg. Eines ist für uns klar: Zumindest einmal im Leben sollte man ein Schwert in der Hand gehabt haben. \nKomm vorbei und fechte mit uns\, den Teilnehmer*innen der Fechtwoche. Die Burg bietet eine wundervolle Kulisse\, auf mehreren Ebenen und in unterschiedlichen Räumen ist genügend Platz für allerlei fechterische Freuden: Freies Fechten sowie technischer Austausch ist durchgehend möglich.
