DESCRIPTION:The Sioux Falls Tournament of Blades is a unique martial arts event that brings together practitioners from a wide range of bladed weapon traditions for a day of learning\, camaraderie\, and friendly competition. Unlike most tournaments that focus on a single art\, the Tournament of Blades celebrates the diversity of weapon-based martial arts by hosting divisions in multiple systems including Olympic-style fencing\, Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA)\, modern Kendo\, and padded sword competition. \nHosted by Dynamic Martial Arts of Sioux Falls\, the Tournament of Blades is a the premier open-format edged weapons event in the region. Now in it’s second year\, this event was created to provide a place where practitioners from different traditions can come together to test their skills\, share knowledge\, and grow as martial artists. Whether you are stepping into competition for the first time or are an experienced competitor\, the tournament is designed to encourage respectful competition\, personal improvement\, and the exchange of ideas between arts. \nWe look forward to welcoming competitors\, coaches\, and spectators to Sioux Falls for a day dedicated to the martial traditions of the blade.
