SUMMARY:Sword Fight VII
DESCRIPTION:Housed in the beautiful scenic rim of the Gold Coast Hinterland\, we are taking historical fencing to the highlands. This two day event will showcase some of Australia’s best fencers in Longsword\, Sidesword\, and Sabre. Also\, many years ago we ran the first Australian women’s HEMA competition\, we are excited to return to this space with a dedicated URG division. \nThis will be a traditional pool/elimination event.

DESCRIPTION:We’re upgrading the HEMA viewing experience. LHFC is announcing our first ever Fight Night\, taking place on the evening of Friday 11th July. Ten invited pairs of fencers from across the UK and Europe will battle it out in four weapons. We’ll be putting on a show\, with multiple camera angles\, professional lighting\, and live commentary. \nOn Saturday\, we’ll be hosting Max van den Ekart of Houw en Hoede for a class\, followed by an open sparring session with our invited fencers.

DESCRIPTION:Three-day-long Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) training camp in an amazing and period-appropriate environment.\n1610 was the year Panemunė castle was completed. What a coincidence: the early 17th century was also the golden age of European martial arts\, and that’s what this HEMA camp is going to be all about.\nEach day there will be a seminar on one of the staple Renaissance weapons with a world-renown fencing master:\nJuly 21: Longsword (Matt Galas)\nJuly 22: Sabre (Jerzy Miklaszewski)\nJuly 23: Rapier (Mike Prendergast)\nAdditional activities will include excursions\, lectures\, sparring\, target cutting\, handling of real antique weapons\, sitting around a campfire and more. Stay tuned for more information on the schedule!\nHow much will it cost?\nFull price:\n3 days: 200 eur\n2 days: 150 eur\n1 day: 100 eur\nThe price includes stays (2\, 1 and 0 appropriately) at the castle’s hostel.\nThere is an additional option to stay in fancier hotel rooms (for an additional price\, see the registration form).\nThere is also an option to camp in a tent\, which will reduce the base price by 14 eur. per night. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 1-day event this summer – “In the Name of Saint George!” featuring both Longsword and Military Saber tournaments\, Saturday July 26th\, 2025. \nWe’re looking forward to another great competition hosted by NSHF\, event sizes are limited so make sure to register asap to reserve your spot. \nSaint George\, the legendary soldier-saint and dragon slayer stands as a timeless symbol and example of courage\, chivalry and unwavering resolve in the face of adversity. Saint George has long been the patron saint of knights\, warriors\, fencers and those who take up arms for honor\, defense and virtue. \nOur tournament “In the Name of Saint George” is a celebration of those knightly values that Saint George represents\, not just a contest of arms but also a tribute to the chivalric spirit of discipline\, respect and valor that defined the martial traditions of Europe. \nHe slew the dragon\, he died a martyr.
