DESCRIPTION:Battle Born is Nevada’s premier Historical European Martial Arts tournament\, located in Carson City\, Nevada. In 2026\, Battle Born will host fencers from across North America in steel longsword\, rapier\, broadsword and smallsword competitions. This year we will be hosting workshops from Richard Marsden\, Justinder Singh\, Andrew Bradford\, Sigmund Werndorf\, and John Patterson. \nOur focus is to try to kindle the connections between participants—we are a mid-sized event\, and plan to always remain a mid-sized event\, with competitors who come from all across the US & Canada to compete and participate in classes\, and our goal is to foster opportunities to collaborate\, train together\, and build relationships. \nOur tournaments use a unique ruleset that helps to bring out historical fencing while remaining simple enough to allow our judges to focus on judging. \nWe hand-pick our judges and we pay them professional wages. We take judging seriously.
