DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce an upcoming HEMA Longsword Tournament\, supported by Balçova Municipality.\nThe event will host 48 fencers\, exclusively dedicated to longsword competition.\nThe tournament is open to practitioners who wish to compete\, as well as to those who prefer to attend without entering the tournament. Spectators\, coaches\, and club members are welcome to join\, observe\, and share in the HEMA community atmosphere.\nIt’s an opportunity to combine HEMA fighting with a short vacation experience\, enjoying the city\, its surroundings\, and its cultural and social environment alongside high-level martial exchange.\nWe aim to create a respectful\, well-organized\, and friendly environment that reflects the spirit of Historical European Martial Arts—competition\, learning\, and camaraderie.

SUMMARY:Circle City Steel Clash VI
DESCRIPTION:This will be our sixth tournament\, and we couldn’t be more excited! Our goal is to create the best competitive experience for our fencers and the local community\, keeping things smooth\, fun\, and as stress-free as possible.\nTo make sure everyone can join in\, we continue the foam sword format event for those who don’t yet have full protective gear\, so come give it a try on Saturday\, May 23\, at 2 pm (checking-in opens at 1 pm!)\nThe Steel Longsword event has a Novice division (Saturday\, May 23\, at 3 pm) and an Advanced division (Sunday\, May 24\, at 12 pm).\nSteel Rapier will be held on May 24\, Sunday morning\, 10 am.\nChecking in starts on Sunday at 9 am. \nBe sure to check out the rules and explanatory videos!\nThis tournament is also a great opportunity for our volunteer directors to gain experience judging real bouts while keeping the atmosphere friendly and open. We are also open to including directors and side judges from clubs with the participation of over 3 fencers. Please\, contact us for details.\nPlus\, as a good tradition\, we’ll be awarding “Best Performance” medals\, as chosen by our tournament directors\, along with 1st\, 2nd\, and two 3rd place medals for each event.\nWe can’t wait to see you there.
